Moon marks

On Jan. 31, 1915, six or seven white spots were observed on the moon in Littrow, arranged like the Greek letter gamma, according to Eng. Mec., 101-47.

Shock and awe

On Jan. 12, 1916, an explosion in the sky shook buildings in Cincinnati, Ohio, accompanied by flashes in the sky. Reported in New York Herald, Jan. 13, 1916.

I now have a theory

I now have a theory that the Pyramids were built by poltergeist-girls. The Chinese Wall is no longer mysterious. Every now and then I reconstruct a science. I may take up neo-archaeology sometime. Old archaeology, with its fakes and guesses, and conflicting pedantries, holds out an invitation for a ferocious and joyous holiday.
