Every mystery has its fishmonger

Niles’ Weekly Register of Nov. 4, 1815 gives an account of “stones that had been watched rising in a field, near Marbleton, Ulster County, New York–that these stones had been seen to rise three or four feet from the ground, then moving horizontally, from thirty to sixty feet.”
